Job summary

Follett Corporation in Rhode Island is seeking a Store Associate to help receive, price, and stock merchandise to meet customer needs and drive sales. You will support Team Members and ensure ongoing training while acting as leader on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.

The role includes opening and closing the store and ensuring the safety of people and property, in a drug-free workplace environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Able to consistently walk and stand, lift 25–50 pounds, and move merchandise using proper equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to create and save text documents and to create and send emails.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive, price, and stock merchandise to meet store customer needs and drive sales.
• Assist Team Members with completing store tasks and ensure proper training and education.
• Act as leader on duty, addressing customer and team concerns in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Open and close the store and ensure all bookstore property and team members are safe and secure.
