Cumberland Heights Foundation Inc. is seeking a Book Shop Clerk to support daily retail operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory control in Shopify.

The role emphasizes accurate recordkeeping and maintaining a welcoming shop environment aligned with the organization’s mission. Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, deposits, stock processing, and collaborating with the Events Coordinator to optimize merchandise offerings based on data trends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in retail, inventory control, cash handling, bookkeeping, or related admin functions preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and able to learn POS/inventory systems.
• Shopify experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate sales records and financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on‑duty retail sales including cash, check, and credit card processing in Shopify.
• Provide warm, courteous customer service to patients, staff, alumni, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory adjustments, and product transfers; complete daily deposits and documentation.
• Receive, process, and stock inventory; verify shipments and coordinate with vendors.
• Move inventory from storage to retail space; ensure proper display and availability in Shopify.
• Follow SOPs to maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile variances.
• Collaborate with Events Coordinator to determine merchandise offerings based on sales data.
• Suggest improvements to retail operations, inventory processes, and customer experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, financial, and patient information.
• Adapt to changes in a dynamic retail and behavioral health environment.
