Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly and proactive associate for an hourly sales role in one of our 2nd & Charles locations. You’ll greet customers, guide them to books they love, and ring up purchases on a POS system as part of a fast-paced team.

The role emphasizes delivering top-notch customer experiences, maintaining clean and engaging displays, and contributing to a welcoming store environment. Previous retail or customer service experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with warmth and enthusiasm; help them find what they’re looking for and make checkout quick and accurate.
• Drive sales by highlighting benefits and programs and advising on books and related products.
• Create inviting displays, follow merchandising guidelines, and keep tables and shelves fresh and welcoming.
• Handle transactions with care and integrity while following loss prevention standards.
