Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly and energetic Bookseller to welcome customers, assist in finding books, and process transactions on the sales floor and at the register. This hourly role will be based in a Books-A-Million retail store location.

You’ll help customers discover great reads, provide engaging recommendations, and contribute to a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus, and the role offers opportunities to grow with the store.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Experience in customer service or retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, helping them find what they’re looking for and making checkout quick and accurate.
• Drive sales by recommending products and highlighting benefits and programs that add value to the customer experience.
• Maintain inviting, organized displays and a clean, welcoming store environment; handle transactions with care and follow loss-prevention standards.
