Job summary

Marion Goodwill Industries is seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier to greet customers, operate the register, and support merchandising and promotions at our Marysville store. You will play a key role in delivering a positive shopping experience while contributing to our mission of helping people in the community.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a drug-free environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus (6 months preferred).
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.
• Reliable transportation and commitment to a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a prompt, courteous manner (in person and by phone).
• Operate the register to process transactions accurately, including discounts.
• Promote Goodwill's "Change Round Up" program to fuel community impact.
• Keep the checkout area and front of store clean and organized.
• Bag and wrap merchandise with care.
• Assist with merchandise displays, stocking, and returns to the sales floor.
• Support store promotions, signage, and seasonal campaigns.
• Contribute to store safety, security, and team goals.
• Provide support in training new cashiers as needed.
