Job summary

Books-A-Million in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to deliver an exceptional customer experience on the sales floor and at the register. You’ll greet customers, help them discover books, and contribute to a fast-paced, friendly store environment.

You’ll collaborate with teammates and leadership, rotate through departments including buyback, and help maintain displays and merchandising.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Preferred: love of books and reading; curiosity about products and authors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them find books.
• Handle transactions accurately at the register.
• Assist across departments to keep the store inviting.
• Support buyback, receiving shipments, inventory.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
