Job summary

Southern Crescent Technical College is seeking an Assistant, Bookstore to support daily bookstore operations and customer service. Under supervision, you will operate the POS system, balance receipts, assist with sales, promotions, and inventory tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related work experience. Preferred qualifications include a related diploma and POS/inventory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related work experience.
• Diploma in accounting, marketing, or related field, or equivalent retail experience with emphasis on customer service.
• Experience in using a point of sale system and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Operate point of sale system and provide assistance to customers.
• Check and balance cash register receipts; assist with day-to-day bookstore operations.
• Assist with sales and promotional activities.
• Assist with conducting inventory and posting bookstore charges.
