Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly Bookseller to deliver a warm customer experience on the sales floor and at the register. You will guide customers to books they’ll love, share recommendations, and ensure efficient checkout in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining inviting displays, supporting inventory tasks, and upholding store standards while collaborating with leadership to create a welcoming shopping environment for all guests.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and help them discover books they'll love, ensuring a quick, accurate checkout.
• Drive sales by highlighting benefits and programs and guiding customers to the right products.
• Create inviting displays, follow merchandising guidelines, and keep tables and shelves fresh and organized.
• Handle transactions with care, uphold loss prevention standards, and protect customers, team, and company.
• Be flexible across departments, assist with inventory, restocking, and store upkeep as needed.
