Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking an enthusiastic Bookseller to work on the sales floor and at the register. You will greet customers, help them discover books, and complete transactions with care in a busy retail setting.

The role emphasizes a passion for books, teamwork with Associates and store leadership, and a fast-paced environment that blends sales, merchandising, and upkeep. This is an hourly, on-site position at a Books-A-Million store.

Qualifications

• Be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with warmth and enthusiasm; help them find what they’re looking for and make checkout quick, accurate, and effortless.
• Drive sales by highlighting benefits and programs and recommending products with genuine enthusiasm.
• Create inviting displays that spark curiosity and keep shelves tidy and fresh.
• Handle transactions with care and integrity while following loss prevention standards.
• Pitch in across departments, assist with inventory, and help with store upkeep as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
