Job summary

Books-A-Million in Auburn, ME is seeking a friendly Bookseller to deliver exceptional customer service, assist shoppers with questions and orders, and provide a welcoming shopping experience.

You will greet customers, handle cashiering, promote Membership programs and Educator programs, stock shelves, and help maintain merchandising standards throughout shifts.

A strong communicator with basic computer and math skills will thrive, and previous retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions and orders, and perform cashier duties.
• Promote memberships and store programs and handle POS transactions.
• Balance cash drawer per shift.
• Restock and merchandise floor per guidelines and timelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization and assist with inventory.

Skills

Previous retail sales experience
