Job summary

The City of Williston is seeking a Bookmobile Coordinator to provide excellent library services throughout Williams County. You will plan, develop, and coordinate the entire bookmobile operation, including scheduling routes and outreach partnerships with schools and community groups.

You will lead story times for children, manage collection rotation, and collaborate with the Youth Services Coordinator to support system-wide programs and library planning.

Qualifications

• Visible aptitude for working with patrons of all ages.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently.
• Knowledge of library policies and regulations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and decision making.
• Familiarity with e-readers, mobile devices and library databases.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate the entire bookmobile operation, including scheduling routes.
• Engages in outreach to develop partnerships with schools, daycares, preschools, homeschool groups, and other community organizations and agencies.
• Introduce literature and early literacy through regular story time programs for children and crafts.
• Monitor and rotate bookmobile collection; maintain shelves.
• Submit reports and participate in library planning and committees.
• Represent bookmobile in system-wide programs and public relations efforts.
