Job summary

Stark County District Library seeks a professional CDL (Class B) driver to operate library bookmobiles, delivering services to schools, neighborhoods, and events. Based at the Operations Center, you’ll ensure safe, timely transport while assisting patrons and performing clerical duties at the center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class B Ohio driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in public libraries or public-sector settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive bookmobiles to scheduled locations and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Provide patron assistance on-site and promote library services.
• Handle circulation tasks and assist with materials transport.
• Assist with group events and program setup for public programs.
• Assist with shelving, merchandising, and basic office tasks.
