Job summary

Lee & Associates Houston is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team of professionals. The role is full-time and on-site at our office near Town & Country/City Center, with opportunities to advance within the firm.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field, 2+ years of AR/AP experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Yardi. Strong MS Office and Excel skills are required to support timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of AR/AP experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• QuickBooks experience is required.
• Yardi property management software experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks using QuickBooks and Yardi to support the financial team in providing timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage data entry for accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) within core software systems.
• Process vendor invoices and accurately track tenant payments in Yardi and QuickBooks.
• Prepare bank deposits and handle outgoing mail to the post office.
• Generate and distribute tenant letters and account statements.
• Assist the Property Management department with active tenant collections using property management tools.
• Collect, process, and distribute daily office mail.
