  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analyses per GAAP.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the organization’s financial health. Your expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts will help streamline our bookkeeping processes, provide insightful financial reports, and support our commitment to transparency and accuracy. Responsibilities

  • Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks online, Xero, Sage, or Quicken.
  • Inventory management through QBO and inv management programs.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently while maintaining detailed records.
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and governmental accounting standards.
  • Assist with budgeting activities and generate financial reports to aid management decision-making.
  • Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to verify the integrity of financial data, including general ledger reconciliation and account analysis.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all bookkeeping activities, including debits & credits, journal entries, and audit trails.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts.
  • Experience with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Skilled in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and accounts payable/receivable management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
