Job Title: Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent
Summary:
The District Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for maintaining all financial records for the school district in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures, as well as providing support to District Administration.
Conditions Of Employment
- Fiscal year (July–June), 248 days, 8 hours per day
- Competitive Salary commensurate with experience (Starting wage: $18.40/hour)

Qualifications
- High School diploma/equivalent
- Experience in bookkeeping preferred, preferably in a public school setting
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Ability to analyze financial data and reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and/or Google Drive (Docs and Sheets)
- Internet and social media skills
- Strong organizational skills, technology skills, and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate integrity, character, and initiative, respecting confidentiality
- Criminal justice fingerprint/background and Faith’s Law clearance
- Current physical and TB clearance
Essential Responsibilities
- Finance
- Accounts Payable: Coordinate payments, prepare invoice documentation, manage credit card procurement, and reconcile transactions.
- Imprest Account: Prepare checks, transfer funds, and maintain oversight of athletic officials and short-term needs.
- Maintain records of invoices and purchase orders, prepare 1099s annually.
- Accounts Receivable: Record deposits, pull deposit data, and post property tax distributions and interest.
- Reconciliations: Assist with bank and financial statement reconciliations and balance accounts.
- Annual Financial Audit: Prepare for audits, review fixed assets, and maintain documentation.
- General Office
- Assist in the office, interact professionally with stakeholders, update signer cards, oversee record disposal, and coordinate supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality, adhere to attendance policies, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
