Job summary

STERRY Limited is seeking a remote Bookkeeper to own the full bookkeeping cycle across currencies. You will manage GL, AP/AR, journals, and reconciliations for e-commerce platforms like Shopify, TikTok, and Amazon, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You will work with USD and other currencies, apply US GAAP knowledge, and coordinate with teams across Asia in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. A CPA is a plus and QuickBooks proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Admin is required.
• CPA qualification is a plus.
• At least 5+ years hands-on bookkeeping experience, ideally in ecommerce.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP / HK FRS and accruals vs cash basics.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the full bookkeeping cycle: GL, AP/AR, journals, reconciliations.
• Manage multi-currency bookkeeping and month-end reconciliations.
• Record transactions from e-commerce platforms (Shopify, TikTok, Amazon).
• Process credit cards and overhead expenses; reconcile ledger vs statements.
• Handle inventory purchases including deposits and prepayments.
• Reconcile payment gateways (Wise, PayPal, Stripe, bank portals).
• Assist with audit prep and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with Asia-based team in a remote, fast-paced setting.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who owns the numbers — not just enters them. You’ll be the go-to person for financial accuracy and reporting across multiple currencies, handling the full cycle from transactions to financial statements with minimal hand-holding. Key Responsibilities

1. Support the full bookkeeping cycle: general ledger, AP/AR, journals, reconciliations
2. Handle multi-currency bookkeeping and reconciliations (USD, HKD, AED, others)
3. Handle e-commerce market place recognition, posting, categorization and reconciliation such as Shopify, Tiktok, Amazon, other online platforms
4. Process credit cards and overhead expenses posting, categorization, reconciliation between ledger and statement on monthly basis
5. Process inventory purchase with deposit, prepayment, installment payment.
6. Support reconciliation on payment gateways such as Wise, Paypal, major bank portals, Stripe, Airwallex etc.
7. Support audit preparation and drive process improvements
8. Collaborate with team members across Asia in a remote, fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a must.
2. Professional qualification as a Certified Public Accountant is a plus
3. 5+ years hands-on bookkeeping experience (sole-charge or close to it) ideally from the e-commerce industry
4. Working knowledge of US GAAP or HK FRS — you understand the difference between cash and accrual, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, and how to classify transactions correctly
5. QuickBooks proficiency (essential)
6. Multi-currency reconciliation experience
7. Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, IF formula, Power query, data integrity checks)
8. Familiar with Google workplace
9. AI agent tools knowledge
