Job summary

STERRY Limited is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to own the numbers across multiple currencies, from transactions to financial statements, in a fully remote role.

You will manage the full bookkeeping cycle, reconcile USD and other currencies, work with e-commerce platforms, and support audits in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.

A Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required; CPA is a plus, with 5+ years of hands-on experience and strong QuickBooks, Excel, and multi-currency expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration is required.
• CPA qualification is a plus.
• At least 5+ years hands-on bookkeeping experience, ideally in e-commerce.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP; understand cash vs accrual, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks; multi-currency reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the full bookkeeping cycle: general ledger, AP/AR, journals, reconciliations.
• Handle multi-currency bookkeeping and reconciliations (USD, HKD, AED, others).
• Manage e-commerce platform postings and reconciliations (Shopify, TikTok, Amazon, etc.).
• Process credit card and overhead expenses posting; reconcile ledger and statements monthly.
• Process inventory purchases with deposits and installments; manage prepayments.
• Support reconciliation on payment gateways (Wise, PayPal, Stripe, etc.).
• Assist audit preparations and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with team members across Asia in a remote, fast-paced environment.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who owns the numbers — not just enters them. You’ll be the go-to person for financial accuracy and reporting across multiple currencies, handling the full cycle from transactions to financial statements with minimal hand-holding. Key Responsibilities

1. Support the full bookkeeping cycle: general ledger, AP/AR, journals, reconciliations
2. Handle multi-currency bookkeeping and reconciliations (USD, HKD, AED, others)
3. Handle e-commerce market place recognition, posting, categorization and reconciliation such as Shopify, Tiktok, Amazon, other online platforms
4. Process credit cards and overhead expenses posting, categorization, reconciliation between ledger and statement on monthly basis
5. Process inventory purchase with deposit, prepayment, installment payment.
6. Support reconciliation on payment gateways such as Wise, Paypal, major bank portals, Stripe, Airwallex etc.
7. Support audit preparation and drive process improvements
8. Collaborate with team members across Asia in a remote, fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a must.
2. Professional qualification as a Certified Public Accountant is a plus
3. 5+ years hands-on bookkeeping experience (sole-charge or close to it) ideally from the e-commerce industry
4. Working knowledge of US GAAP or HK FRS — you understand the difference between cash and accrual, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, and how to classify transactions correctly
5. QuickBooks proficiency (essential)
6. Multi-currency reconciliation experience
7. Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, IF formula, Power query, data integrity checks)
8. Familiar with Google workplace
9. AI agent tools knowledge
