Job summary

GHJ Search and Staffing, representing a well-established manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations. The position offers hands-on responsibilities across core functions and collaboration with leadership.

You will manage AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close, with room to influence process improvements and internal controls in a smaller-company environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Solid general ledger knowledge with experience in AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience required.
• Small to mid-sized, privately held company experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
• Prepare financial reports and assist with financial and operational analysis
• Maintain accurate accounting records and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with leadership on special projects and process improvements
• Help strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls
• Support additional accounting and operational needs as the business evolves

A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support its day-to-day accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys variety, working closely with leadership, and contributing beyond traditional bookkeeping responsibilities.

The Bookkeeper will manage core accounting activities across AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a smaller-company environment, enjoys taking ownership, and can comfortably shift between accounting responsibilities and operational projects.
