Job summary

Halo Home Watch, an established Naples, FL home services company, is seeking a part-time experienced bookkeeper/contractor to manage financial records, payroll, taxes, and reporting. The role requires 5+ years’ experience, proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work independently with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping monthly, quarterly, and year-end.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and analyses.
• Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as needed.
• Biweekly payroll processing.
• Prepare monthly sales and tourism taxes.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Halo Home Watch, LLC and Halo Home Management, LLC are established businesses providing varying Home Services and Vacation Rental Management Services in Naples and Marco Island, Florida. We are seeking a part-time experienced bookkeeper to maintain our financial records including sales, receipts, payments, and payroll. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience. Experience with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, sales tax returns, and payroll. Hours during a normal work week are expected to average 20 – 30 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping – Monthly, Quarterly and Year-end.

Journal Entries.

Monthly Account Reconciliations and Analyses.

General Financial Reports and spreadsheets as needed.

Biweekly Payroll Processing.

Monthly Sales and Tourism Taxes.

• Accounts Receivable and Payable.

Quarterly and year-end federal and state payroll tax and sales tax reporting.

Responding to various tax and insurance authorities’ requests including audits.

Gathering financial information including preparing spreadsheets for year-end taxes.

Requirements

5+years’ experience as a bookkeeper/accountant.

Must be proficient with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Clearly a plus.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Dependable, High Degree of Accuracy and Attention to Detail.

Advanced experience performing account reconciliations and analyses.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles related to transactions.

Hours

Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm or a minimum of 6 hours three days a week. The last week of the month and year end will requireadditionalhours and some weekends. Duringfirst90 days, it isminimumof 20 hours. Not Remote.
