Expovision - Bookkeeper (Part-time) - Remote position but need local candidates to train and meet in VA office.

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper (part-time) to manage financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. This remote role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a flexible work environment. The candidate will support key bookkeeping functions including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, working approximately 15-25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Generate, review, and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Review contracts for financial terms, payment schedules, and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate tax deductions.
  • Monitor cash flow and budget expenses.
  • Assist with tax preparation and audits.
  • Maintain digital financial records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Approximately 15-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
  • Availability during core business hours for check-ins and reporting.
  • Fully remote position – work from home with a stable internet connection and in a professional working environment.
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Note: Position training will take place locally at our Herndon, VA office. Occasional meetings may occur in the office as well.
