Job summary

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Dayton is seeking a full-time bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple business units in a casual yet professional setting.

You will maintain Accounts Payable/Receivable, reconcile accounts, process invoices and payroll, and prepare monthly reports while supporting month-end and year-end close activities. Strong communication and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in QuickBooks and/or Xero.
• Experience analyzing financial data and/or budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple business units.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts.
• Record and categorize daily financial transactions.
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and customer payments.
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Track revenue and expenses by location/business unit.
• Process or assist with payroll and payroll-related reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records for sales tax, 1099s, and other filings.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and vendor balances.
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow tracking, and financial analysis.
• Work with management, CPAs, and outside vendors as needed.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records.
• Help improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
