Job summary

Oak View Group seeks a Director of Booking to lead booking strategy and promoter partnerships across Macon venues. This senior role drives calendar optimization, programming mix, and profitability for multi-room venues.

Ideal candidates have extensive booking/talent buying experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of venue economics and deal structures. The role is salary-based with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Business or Sport Management.
• 5–7 years minimum booking and talent buying, promoter, and booking management experience.
• 2–3 years minimum experience supervising staff.
• Experience overseeing multi-room or multi-venue programming calendars.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on operational capability.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with promoters/agencies to create diverse entertainment programming for the venues.
• Establish relationships with clients, tenants, and industry partners to maximize facility utilization.
• Negotiate contracts with event organizers, promoters, hosts, managers, and agents.
• Analyze performance data and adjust programming based on sell-through and margins.
• Collaborate with marketing on audience targeting and show positioning.
• Assist in development of annual operating calendars, schedules, and revenue projections.
• Coordinate with box office, events, and production teams to scale events and ensure feasibility.
• Participate in budget development and forecasting for staffing, equipment, and materials.
