Job summary

American Special Holdings Corp is seeking a hands-on bookkeeper to maintain accurate daily and monthly books across multiple franchise locations using Restaurant365. You will perform bank and card reconciliations, manage tax tracking and timely filings, record journal entries, and support month-end close with ownership review.

The ideal candidate has franchise restaurant accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and comfort working in a hybrid South Florida environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Restaurant365 is required.
• Familiarity with multi-unit franchise or restaurant accounting is required.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals: reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and the general ledger.
• Comfortable working with POS and payroll data (Toast, Paylocity, Homebase a plus).
• Based in or near South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales tax tracking and support timely filings.
• Record and categorize transactions, journal entries, and accruals.
• Reconcile delivery platform and third-party settlements (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, ezCater).
• Support month-end close and produce reports for ownership review.
• Flag discrepancies, missing settlements, or data quality issues proactively.
• Coordinate with operations and ownership on financial questions as needed.
