Job summary

Canopy by Hilton Memphis Downtown Beale Street in Memphis, TN is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance team and oversee all hotel facilities and equipment maintenance.

You will manage maintenance projects, coordinate with the General Manager and Operations Manager, and ensure timely, safe operation of all systems. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of Engineering Management experience in a luxury brand hotel.
• Bilingual speaking is a must.
• Must have any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
• High School Diploma or equivalent – Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to repair and maintain various pieces of building and grounds equipment.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment and various tools.
• Have excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the hotel and its equipment.
• Manage all maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed timely.
• Direct maintenance staff and assign responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Operations Manager for smooth operations.
