Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care, collaborate with the care team, and support safe med administration and documentation using bar-scanning technology.

You must hold a NJ nursing license, complete BLS/CPR within 60 days, have BMT nursing experience, and aspire to chemotherapy competency within six months; BSN in progress preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• BMT nursing experience is required.
• Must be willing to attend classroom and clinical training to become chemotherapy competent within six (6) months of hire.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is preferred.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs with strong teamwork and patient focus.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients safely to ensure continuum of care.

Education

BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire
