Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey. You will provide evidence-based nursing, coordinate with the care team, and use barcode medication administration.

The role requires a valid New Jersey nursing license, BLS within 60 days, and willingness to become chemotherapy competent within six months. BSN in progress is encouraged; strong teamwork and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards to provide safe, individualized patient care.
Communicate with patients, families, and health care team regarding status and plans.
Administer medications using barcode scanning with accurate documentation.
Document patient assessments and plans of care in real time.
Educate patients and families to promote health and disease management.
Discharge patients safely with coordinated follow-up.
