Permobil is seeking a Bonding Associate in Lebanon, TN. The role focuses on cutting, measuring, and mechanically joining components into subassemblies using tape measures, calipers, power saws, grinders and epoxy tools.
You will work with Assembly Line Leaders and Supervisors, follow Work Instructions in the data system, ensure dimensional accuracy and safety, and support cross-functional teams while fulfilling related picking/shipping duties as needed.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm (Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

The Bonding Associate is
responsible for cutting, measuring, and mechanically joining individual
components into a required subassembly. Using tools such as tape measures,
calipers, power saws, grinders and epoxy application tools, the Associate
ensures that bonded components are dimensionally correct and joined to Permobil
specifications. This role will also work closely with the Assembly Line Leaders
and Supervisors. Teamwork and collaboration with these and other groups is a
necessity. Adherence to all Safety practices and company policies is required.
Identify needed components from Work Instructions in the Permobil data system.
Safely use power equipment to cut, drill and shape components to the required specifications.
Safely use epoxy-application equipment to permanently join components into dimensionally correct subassemblies.
Communicate non-conformances to operators, Supervisors, and Managers.
Understand and use scanning tools and work instruction software to ensure correct components are picked for assembly.
Be a liaison between Bonding operations and other staff.
Flex into picking and shipping roles as needed.
Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and company policies.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality capability of Assembly operations.
Understand and follow all precautions to safely use powered tools.
Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience desired.
Technical Skills: Working knowledge of work instructions. Ability to safely use tools including tape measures, calipers, and powered saws, grinders and Dremel-type tools.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to work in a team environment with other groups as necessary.
Other Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Be safety-minded at all times and report any possible safety hazards to the Supervisor.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong problem-solving mindset.
The expected pay range for this role is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
