Qualifications

Active U.S. Customs Broker License required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Customs Compliance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, bond administration, or related regulatory environment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience leading, supervising, or managing colleagues in a compliance-focused operational environment.
Strong knowledge of U.S. CBP regulations, powers of attorney, importer identity verification requirements, bond administration, and recordkeeping obligations.
Experience supervising bond, POA, compliance, or brokerage operations teams preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Bond Specialists by providing direction and feedback.
Set performance expectations and monitor results for compliance and service objectives.
Manage workloads to ensure timely, accurate processing of bonds, POAs, and related docs.
Maintain understanding of CBP regulations, bond requirements, importer identity verification standards.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls for department operations.
Review and approve POA intake docs and enhanced due diligence for nonresident importers.
Oversee reviews of importer verification and restricted party screening for CBP compliance.
Conduct audits of bonds, POAs, importer verification, and recordkeeping practices.
Monitor productivity and quality, driving improvements in performance.
Serve as escalation point for clients needing support and issue resolution.
Manage relationships with surety providers and external partners.
Coordinate POA renewal activities to ensure uninterrupted service.
