Burgess Design, a Pacific Northwest-focused interior architecture firm in Seattle, seeks a BOMA Specialist with 3+ years of experience to join our team. You will work with complex datasets to develop space accounting standards and support tenant improvements.

The role involves creating floor plans, stacking diagrams, control files, marketing plans, and lease exhibits, collaborating with design teams on test fits. Strong CAD/Revit skills and knowledge of BOMA standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or CRE documentation experience.
• Familiarity with BOMA standards (2017/2024) and related terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, lease language, and exhibits.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient with SketchUp, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Office Suite; hand sketching/detailing.

Responsabilités

• Participate in a fast-paced, collaborative project environment.
• Execute multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Work on drawings using Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Ensure occupant load, exit, and wall rating code compliance.
• Apply BOMA standards to measure building area and ensure accuracy across drawings and reports.
• Perform area calculations and prepare documentation packages.
• Support reconciliation of discrepancies between drawings, field data, and client docs.
• Conduct site walks and field verifications in various environments.
• Collaborate with production, QA/QC, and project management to maintain quality.
