Job summary

Novae, LLC in Indiana seeks a BOM/Configurator Specialist to maintain multi-level BOMs in the Enterprise Resource Planning system, Visual, and the Novae Configurator, supporting order management, manufacturing processes, material scheduling, and material costing.

You will collaborate with Operations, Sales, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure the BOM structure, components, quantities, and timing are accurate; you will participate in change control and communicate impacts across brands.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or the equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Experience in Manufacturing, required, to quickly understand processes, costs, and flow of material.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and BOM processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage time and stay organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to understand complex and interdependent processes to predict potential outcomes and problem solve solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent multi-level BOMs through rigorous monitoring and auditing practices to ensure alignment with manufacturing, engineering, and ordering processes.
• Collaborate with people in a variety of levels with the Operations, Sales, Engineering and Purchasing teams to ensure the BOM has the correct structure, components, and quantities; and that timing and changes are accurate.
• Execute change control processes required for BOM accuracy, including utilization of the BOM maintenance and report functions in Novae's business operating system and Visual Manufacturing ERP.
• Determine the effect of changes across multiple brands and multiple products. Make recommendations based on analysis to Engineering Change Request (ECR) group or leadership.
• Understand and teach others on cross functional teams the cost impact of changing BOMs and part Items, as well as the impact on production use, inventory values, variances and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).

Job Summary

Responsible for the accuracy of product codes and Bills of Materials (BOM) in the Enterprise Resource Planning system, Visual, and the custom database, Novae Configurator for the support of order management, manufacturing processes, material scheduling, and material costing.

Essential Functions

• Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent multi-level BOMs through rigorous monitoring and auditing practices to ensure alignment with manufacturing, engineering, and ordering processes. Make necessary updates in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with people in a variety of levels with the Operations, Sales, Engineering and Purchasing teams to ensure the BOM has the correct structure, components, and quantities; and that timing and changes are accurate. Facilitate conversations to resolve concerns and differences of opinions and come to a solution.
• Execute change control processes required for BOM accuracy, including utilization of the BOM maintenance and report functions in Novae's business operating system and Visual Manufacturing ERP. Communicate changes to departments affected.
• Determine the effect of changes across multiple brands and multiple products. Make recommendations based on analysis to Engineering Change Request (ECR) group or leadership.
• Understand and teach others on cross functional teams the cost impact of changing BOMs and part Items, as well as the impact on production use, inventory values, variances and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
