Job summary

Regal Boats is seeking a driven Manufacturing / BoM Engineer who thrives at the intersection of shop floor execution, engineering documentation, and system logic. You will own the accuracy, structure, and physical reality of our Bills of Materials (BoMs), routings, and assembly flow, spending significant time on the shop floor reviewing router runs and audits.

This role requires hands-on auditing, Epicor ERP proficiency, and close collaboration with Production, Purchasing, and Design Engineering

Qualifications

• Experience with Bills of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (or similar enterprise manufacturing software).
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints, router runs, and assembly PDFs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, specifically to develop spreadsheets and cost comparisons.
• Basic Knowledge of boats.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn and master complex software(s) in a short period of time.
• Data entry and strong attention to detail.
• Passion for being on the manufacturing floor to gather information and collaborate with line technicians.
• Conversational English.
• Ambitious in pursuits of accuracy and details.

Responsibilities

• Review Bills of Materials (BoM), Methods of Manufacturing (MOM), and maintain BoMs in Epicor via ECN process.
• Ensure BoM accuracy and Epicor reflects shop floor reality.
• Conduct hands-on audits on the assembly floor for BoMs, part flow, shrinkage, and routings.
• Become proficient in Epicor BoM maintenance, inquiry screens, Configurator options, and reports.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Design Engineering, and Production Engineers to ensure correct BOM structure and components.
• Audit BoM linkages, Routings, BoM types, shrinkage, and router runs.
• Manage Options tables for accurate option availability and conditional rules in Epicor.
• Review PDF prints, router runs, and engineering revisions; translate updates to Epicor structures.
• Assist Purchasing and Engineering with BOM costs and variance issues.
• Support BoM and prototype staff during design/prototype to production handoff.
• Support accounting, purchasing, and manufacturing during inventories.
• Manage ERP scheduling details as it relates to assemblies and part flow.
• Other duties as assigned.
