Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a BOM Configuration Specialist 2 in Tualatin, OR. You will manage detailed BOMs and configurations across PECVD and ALD product lines, using Creo/NX CAD, Teamcenter, and SAP as the PLM backbone.

Qualifications

:Associate degree or higher with 2+ years in a technical field such as mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
:Experience with PDM/PLM systems and spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel, Power BI).
:Familiarity with 3D MCAD design tools (e.g., Creo/ProE).
:Experience with configuration and systems engineering, including BOM structures, product configuration management, and release processes.
:Ability to manage project timelines in alignment with company-wide BOM release cadence.

Responsibilities

Develop a detailed understanding of PLM including CAD (Creo, NX), Siemens Teamcenter, and SAP BOM structures across multiple PECVD and ALD products.
Partner with system and subsystem engineers, manufacturing, configuration engineers, and product management to define BOM structures, part numbers, and quantities to maximize modularity, reusability, and manufacturability.
Create, review, and manage change requests and release of existing and new BOMs, ensuring accurate structure and attributes including part classification, and quantities.
Create, review, and manage BOMs for NSRs, custom configurations, and field upgrades.
Ensure integrity and accuracy of BOM and configurations in the PLM system from engineering BOM to released BOM in Teamcenter and SAP.
Collaborate across product teams to identify opportunities for modularity and part reuse.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes related to BOM management.
