Job summary

Fontana is seeking a Boltmaker Operator in Indiana to set up and run boltmaking machines, ensuring quality parts and meeting daily production targets. You will use measurement tools, read blueprints, and follow BOM instructions, while maintaining safe working conditions.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work a 6‑month training program across shifts. Prior press experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50+ pounds.
• Stand 8+ hours and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Non-climate controlled work environment.
• Complete a 6‑month training program (1st shift then 2nd shift).

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production and quality goals.
• Use measurement devices to verify parts meet specs.
• Follow BOM to identify proper tooling sequence.
• Set up machine components and tooling for each run.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Record production activities and machine performance.
• Maintain safety standards and clean work area.
