Job summary

Subway at the Bojangles travel center in West Wendover, NV is seeking a Restaurant Team Member. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, preparing menu items, and maintaining a clean store environment in a fast-paced setting.

Walk-in interviews are held weekdays from 11am - 4pm at the location inside the travel center. Applicants should be flexible with hours, and prior food service or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service

• Cash Handling:

The Restaurant Team Member position typically involves a variety of duties centered around providing excellent customer service, preparing food, maintaining a clean store, and ensuring operational efficiency.

WALK-IN INTERVIEWS

Held weekdays from 11am - 4pm at the Bojangles inside the travel center located at 820 Leppy Hls Blvd West Wendover, NV 89883

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service:
• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store
• Take customer orders and provide helpful suggestions based on their preferences
• Ensure that customers have an enjoyable and satisfying experience
• Address any customer questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Food Preparation:
• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to Subway's standards
• Handle ingredients (meats, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and follow food safety protocols for storage and handling
• Toast sandwiches, prepare hot meals, and ensure proper portion sizes
• Maintain quality and presentation of food items
• Cash Handling:
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer transactions (cash, credit, or mobile payments)
• Accurately handle cash and provide correct change
• Assist with the balancing of the cash register and perform end-of-shift cash counting
• Store Cleanliness and Maintenance:
• Keep the store clean and organized, including the dining area, restrooms, and kitchen
• Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as wiping down counters, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash bins
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for both customers and staff
• Teamwork:
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Assist with training new team members as needed
• Support team efforts during busy periods and ensure the store runs efficiently
• Stocking and Inventory:
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and other items as necessary
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management
• Ensure that all ingredients and materials are stored properly to maintain freshness and safety
• Opening and Closing Duties (if applicable):
  Help with opening and closing the store, which may include setting up or breaking down equipment, cleaning, and securing the store
