Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Mechanical Intern for a part-time role in Spring 2027, or full-time during Summer 2027. The position is onsite at our Boise location, and remote or hybrid work is not available.

The role requires enrollment in an ABET-accredited mechanical engineering program and a rising junior or senior with strong organizational skills. Responsibilities include applying thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics concepts, using CAD software, and meeting project deadlines under

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Rising Junior or Senior in academic year.
• Must be registered with Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Salary range provided: $20–$23 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks under close supervision by Department Manager or designee.
• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics knowledge using CAD tools.
• Learns and follows department standards, methods, and procedures.
• Meet deadlines on daily duties or projects as assigned.
• Occasional local travel may be required; valid driver’s license may be waived for international assignments.
