Job description

Our client is an Australian-owned, integrated, multidisciplinary heavy engineering and construction services provider to the energy, resources, infrastructure, marine, and defence sectors. The role is based in Henderson with exciting future projects.

What You Will Be Doing

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of reading plans and executing them. Responsibilities include:

• Welding navy ships and offshore patrol vessels
• Shipbuilding involving all steel types
• Flux core welding with ceramic backing, flux weld, tack weld, fillet weld, and heavy structural welding
• Confined space welding on ship hulls, structures, and internals
• Welding to Defence standards with a requirement to pass 100% x-ray testing of components
