Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician based in the Fenton, MO area. You will lead welding projects on boiler systems, perform planned and emergency welding, and assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance across Watertube, Firetube and auxiliary equipment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass an ASME 6G test. Local travel with substantial overnight travel is required, and benefits include medical/dental/vision

Responsibilities

• Lead on welding projects for code and non-code items/structures.

Relocation assistance will be provided for any non-local candidates selected for hire.**Job Summary:**Provide planned and emergency services to Watertube, Firetube and auxiliary support equipment. Perform and lead the welding of code and non-code items/structures.Essential functions:Function as the lead on core welding projects, for ASME code and standard welds.Ability, aptitude and desire to learn complex boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, as well as some combustion tuning & controls.Other duties as assigned.Basic Requirements:Education:High School diploma or equivalent.Experience Requirements:The ability to pass an ASME certified 6G testBasic mechanical and pipefitting skillsAbility to stay overnight for complex projects and work weekends and after-hours for emergency situationsPrior Boilermaker experience is strongly preferredTravel Requirements:Daily local travel withup to 50% overnight travel.**Physical Skill & Effort: **As a Service Technician, you will need to be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds and will require climbing, bending, being on your feet for long periods of time, stooping, and working in confined and elevated areas. Safe daily driving and infrequent out of town travel will be necessary.**Working Conditions and Hazards: **Able to work in confined and elevated areas.
