Job summary

houseofraefordcareers is seeking an hourly maintenance technician for 2nd shift to ensure the safety and functionality of boiler, air, water and hot water systems. You will troubleshoot and repair plant utilities, install pumps, motors, valves and maintain electrical control circuits.

Must be in good physical condition, able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work with PPE in hot and cold environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with boilers, air compressors, water wells and hot water systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor boiler, air, water and hot water systems for efficiency and safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lubricate parts.

• Troubleshoot and repair plant utility systems and instrumentation.
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, and yard trucks as needed.

Job description

Uphold food safety, work safely, be organized, follow all good manufacturing practices and chemical safety procedures.

Work 9- hour shifts (Sunday through Friday) while monitoring the efficiency and safety of the boiler, compressed air, well water and hot water system component parts, with the help of computers.

Technicians will be required to cover other shifts and work additional hours if the need arises

Lift up to 50 lbs.

Work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Repair jobs and maintenance checks may require operators to work under very hot, cold, noisy, and dirty conditions while climbing and working safely at heights

Technicians are required to routinely check systems, perform preventative maintenance, lubricate parts, and troubleshoot malfunctioning boilers, air compressors, water wells and hot water systems.

Repair and install hydraulics, pumps, motors, valves and electrical control circuits.

Safely operate forklifts, man lifts and yard trucks.

Repair and maintenance of 120 vac, 480 vac and 24 vdc control circuits.

Perform any tasks necessary to ensure a safe quality food product is produced

Perform any and all related duties as may be required or necessary in accordance with company policies and procedures

Work with the Refrigeration Manager and Plant Manager to meet annual goals of production, maintenance repair goals, special projects and any jobs deemed necessary.

We are hiring for an hourly maintenance role on 2nd shift focused on ensuring the safety and functionality of our boiler, air, water and hot water systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing plant utility systems, hydraulics, installing pumps, motors, valves and maintaining electrical control circuits. The candidate should be in good physical condition and comfortable working at heights, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using various tools. The candidate must be able to work while wearing protective PPE in hot and cold environments. Adherence to safety protocols, good manufacturing practices, and collaboration with managers to meet annual goals are key aspects of the role.

Knowledge of P&ID/Electrical drawings within an industrial environment and the ability to use them as a troubleshooting tool.

Ability to troubleshoot digital and analog instrumentation and analog controlled process valving

Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot vdc and vac control circuit using electrical drawings and testing equipment

Experience with the maintenance of high-pressure boiler systems is desired

Basic knowledge of personal computer-based equipment

Ability to work with little or no supervision

Ability to work and communicate verbally, in writing, via phone or radio effectively with a variety of individuals

Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
