Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily reliability tasks and preventative maintenance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for daily reliability tasks.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance.
• Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics according to the immediacy and necessity of orders.
• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Participate in the HAZMAT team to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Arrange for completion of required paperwork, such as payroll.
• Monitor and maintain the refrigeration equipment, production equipment, and boiler systems through routine checks, lubrication of equipment, and repair/replacement of parts as needed.
• Maintains appropriate records and reports.
• Complies with all OSHA and company safety standards and policies
• Attend meetings as scheduled.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Work 40+ hours per week on the production floor, including weekend work and rotating shifts as needed.
• Possible exposure to slippery floors, extreme temperature variations, loud noise, chemicals, sharp objects (knives), machinery, and vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of background experience in general industrial maintenance
• General knowledge of machinery in a plant that applies to the industry
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal. Bilingual preferred, not required.
• Ability to prioritize activities.
• Capable of providing leadership/motivation to engage employees in the business.
