Job summary

Boise Cascade Company is seeking a Boiler Operator to support the power plant operations. The role involves cleaning and maintaining boiler components, handling test reagents for water samples, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of boilers and related equipment.

The operator will also perform routine maintenance such as greasing fittings, checking oil levels in gearboxes and reservoirs, and will operate front end loaders and forklifts in accordance with safety rules and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clear boiler grates, tubes, firewalls, under grates and scrubber of ash and deposits
• Uses test reagents to obtain test results from various boiler water, feed water and condensate samples
• Demonstrates excellent housekeeping practices throughout the power plant and all auxiliary stations
• Performs duties, such as greasing fittings and chains, maintaining oil levels in gearboxes, and reservoirs
• Operates Front End Loader, and Forklift
• Demonstrates ability to operate boilers and all related equipment
• Follows company policies, procedures and safety rules
