Job summary

The State of Colorado’s Colorado Department of Corrections invites applications for the Boiler Operator Supervisor Trainee program at the Denver Correctional Complex. This trainee position provides on-the-job training in boiler operations while maintaining facility safety and security.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and must be 18+, with no felony convictions. The program leads to a CSTS I position after gaining boiler operator experience and potentially advancement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Have no felony.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of facility and work sites; monitor inmate behavior and enforce procedures.
• Operate boiler house equipment; perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Supervise assigned inmate workers; assign tasks and evaluate performance.
• Ensure compliance with Colorado Boiler Code, International Mechanical Code, and budgets.
