Job summary

Canfor is seeking a Boiler Operator for our Graham, NC facility. The role involves operating and maintaining boilers that supply steam and hot water, monitoring system pressures and temperatures, and ensuring safe, efficient operation within a production setting.

The position is a permanent full-time role, with Monday through Friday shifts. Candidates should be comfortable in a physically demanding environment, able to work around hot machinery, and committed to maintaining high safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience as Boiler Operator or in a similar industrial role is a plus.
• Strong understanding of boiler operation and maintenance processes.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
• Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor boilers to provide steam and hot water.
• Regularly check pressure, temperature, and water levels.
• Perform routine boiler maintenance and address issues.
• Adjust controls to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs of boiler operations and adjustments.
• Inspect boiler system to meet safety and industry standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and keep the boiler area clean.
• Operate related equipment as required.
