Job summary

Canfor is seeking a Boiler Operator for our Graham, NC facility. The role involves operating and maintaining boilers that supply steam and hot water, monitoring system pressures and temperatures, and ensuring safe, efficient operation within a production setting.

The position is a permanent full-time role, with Monday through Friday shifts. Candidates should be comfortable in a physically demanding environment, able to work around hot machinery, and committed to maintaining high safety standards

Qualifications

• Experience as Boiler Operator or in a similar industrial role is a plus.
• Strong understanding of boiler operation and maintenance processes.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
• Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions.

This role is a permanent full-time position working Monday through Friday.

What you will do as a Boiler Operator:

• Set up, operate, and monitor the boilers to ensure they provide the correct steam and hot water levels.
• Regularly check the pressure, temperature, and water levels to ensure they meet the desired standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on the boilers to keep them running efficiently and address any issues as they arise.
• Adjust the boiler’s controls to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and any adjustments made during the process.
• Inspect the boiler system regularly to ensure it meets company and industry standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure that the boiler area is always kept safe and clean.
• Safely and efficiently operate any necessary equipment to support boiler operations.

Experience and skills that will help you stand out:
