- Schedule: Full Time, 40 hr/week - Ten days on, four days off, 7:00a - 3:30p, every other weekend, some holidays

Responsibilities
- Maintain safe and efficient operation of hospital equipment and properties.
- Operate and repair boiler room equipment, emergency generators, perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, painting, etc.
- Prepare and record tests, adjust chemicals, perform routine housekeeping, assist with snow removal.
- Notify supervisors about chemical needs, complete work orders, and maintain preventive maintenance on hospital equipment.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and architectural equipment.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision and assist in other building and grounds tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of multi-meter, sewer augering machines, hand and power tools, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ability to operate, repair, and install electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and architectural equipment.
- Knowledge of plant water chemistry and treatment.
Essential Functions
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; normal or corrected vision; differentiate colors; normal finger dexterity.
- Ability to lift objects up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work in noisy, cramped, or stressful environments.
- Ability to recognize alarms, manipulate tools and equipment, and pass a respirator fit test.
Working Conditions
- Occasional exposure to temperature extremes, noise, electrical hazards, chemicals, and stressful situations.
Orientation
Complete hospital and departmental orientations.
Licensure and Education
- Certified Third Class Maintenance Professional in Power Engineering from NIULPE within 24 months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years hospital maintenance and high-pressure power plant experience.
