Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Dudley facility is seeking a Boiler Operator in the Boiler Department to operate boiler equipment, monitor performance, and uphold safety and environmental guidelines. The role includes hands-on maintenance, documentation, and participation in safety programs.

Based in Dudley, NC, the position offers a Monday–Friday 7am–3pm shift with starting pay of $27.00 per hour plus skill-based increases. Training and mentoring of new hires are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office products.
• Experience working with boilers, pumps, fans, valves, steam, condensate, fire protection systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, conveyors and lubrication.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler equipment following company and manufacturer standards and equipment specifications.
• Daily monitoring of equipment performance and reporting deficiencies.
• Monitor boiler instrumentation and take corrective actions as needed.
• Perform routine water chemistry analysis and maintain stable water balance.
• Perform preventative and minor maintenance on boiler machinery.
• Document boiler changes and events in the logbook.
• Handle chemicals according to company and DOT standards.
• Maintain qualification levels for wheel loader operator, LOTO, HW and Supervisory Confined Space.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings and participate in training.
• Train and mentor new hires.
