Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Dudley, NC, is seeking a Boiler Operator to join our Building Products team. The role requires operating boiler equipment, performing water chemistry analysis, and maintaining logs and safety practices on a 12-hour, seven-day rotating shift.

Starting pay is $27.00/hr with pay based on skill and experience. The position is located at 139 Brewington Drive, Dudley, NC, withworkweek Monday–Friday 7am–3pm initially, and potential schedule adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office products.
• Experience working with boilers, pumps, fans, valves, steam, condensate, fire protection systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, conveyors and lubrication.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler equipment in accordance with company and manufacturers standards.
• Daily monitoring of equipment performance and report deficiencies at turnover meetings.
• Perform routine water chemistry analysis and adjust to balance boiler systems.
• Maintain boiler equipment and perform preventative/minor maintenance.
• Document boiler changes and events in the operator daily logbook.
• Receive and handle chemicals per Company and DOT standards.
• Train and mentor new hires.
• Participate in safety programs and shift schedules.
