Operate, adjust, and maintain high-pressure heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Operate and monitor plant operation control systems and maintain logs. Receive and respond to requests for maintenance service or repairs.

Responsibilities

1. Preventative/Corrective Maintenance

• Identification of equipment
• Proper use of tools and supplies
• Complete 100% of all work orders
• Respond to calls from hospital

Boiler Plant Operation

• Chemical treatment of boiler and associated systems
• Perform safety checks on operating boilers
• Troubleshoot boiler issues and correct to maintain operations
• Ability to operate all boiler support equipment

Chiller Plant Operation

Fire Alarm System

Qualifications

Education

High School graduate or equivalent

Experience

6 months of work-related experience or equivalent training in Plant Operations preferred

Licensure

Boiler Operators License or equivalent license preferred. Accepted licenses include: RI stationary engineer/boiler operator license, PF Journeyman-1 or 2, PF Master 1 or 2, CT Licenses - S-1, S-2, S-3, S-4, OE-2.

Special Skills

Knowledge of steam boiler operation, HVAC, power generators, plumbing, painting/patching, and general trade skills.
