Headquartered in Nashville, TN, August Bioservices is a rapidly growing Contract Development Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that provides drug discovery, formulation, and manufacturing services to pharma and biotech companies. We are investing in a new state-of-the-art facility to support our growth.

The Boiler Operations Technician is responsible for managing utilities at our Nashville site, including high-pressure boilers, clean utility systems (WFI, RO, Clean Steam), and building management systems. This role supports maintenance and operation of these systems and manages contractor services as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems through inspections and maintenance.
2. Maintain systems by scheduling inspections, cleanings, and replacements; identify and repair issues.
3. Monitor safety equipment, identify potential issues, and suspend operations if necessary.
4. Perform repairs, obtain parts, and upgrade components within budget.
5. Stay current on safety laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
6. Document inspections, maintenance, and repairs accurately.
7. Recommend technology upgrades and overhauls.
8. Perform preventative maintenance on utility systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2-5 years of experience with complex systems or in the industrial sector preferred.
• Boiler operator license for Tennessee desired.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems.
