Job summary

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service our laundry and related equipment. No prior laundry maintenance experience is required; we can teach you with our on-the-job training.

You will work on boilers up to 120 horsepower high-pressure steam and support systems, with a starting pay of $35-$38 per hour and a four-day work week. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and repairs on boilers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems for laundry

Qualifications

• 2 years building maintenance education or field experience.
• 2nd Class Grade B Boiler's License is required.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing principles.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and repairs on boilers and related equipment per owner manual.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems supporting laundry machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installs for laundry equipment and support units.
• Complete a compliance check every two hours to verify safe operating pressure.
• Maintain boiler water treatment, chemistry, and chemicals for pumps.
• Install hardware components, office fixtures, and rail systems.
• Complete work orders for fixtures, minor plumbing, HVAC, and electrical device replacements.
• Occasionally participate in annual inspection, preventive maintenance, and boiler shutdown cleaning.
