Job summary

JBS Foods in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a Boiler & Engine Supervisor to oversee maintenance, safety, and reliability of boiler and refrigeration systems on the 3rd shift. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college experience recommended.
• Ability to work all 3 shifts and lift heavy loads.
• Experience with boilers, refrigeration, and safety protocols.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics according to immediacy and necessity of orders.
• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.
• Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Participate in HAZMAT team to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Arrange for completion of required paperwork, such as payroll.
• Monitors and maintains the refrigeration equipment, production equipment, and boiler systems through routine checks, lubrication of equipment, and repair/replacement of parts as needed.
• Maintains appropriate records and reports.
• Complies with all OSHA and company safety standards and policies
• Complies with, maintains, and updates PSM policies, procedures, and compliance reviews.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
